Andrew said: “My experience gives me a broad knowledge to apply to the Norton Aluminium business of which the past six years have been in the Aluminium and Zinc Diecasting area. I am very excited to apply my experience to this new sector and take on a new challenge.”

Andrew is confident that the strong management team will be a great asset in pushing the business forward; one of the big constraints to the business is the Environmental Permit it has to operate within. “When the company was audited in 2012 we were considered a high risk to the environment, but with the continued hard work of the staff and strong management team the company has successfully maintained a much improved ‘Medium’ rating in our recent audits which we take very seriously.”

“We are committed to working with both residents and the local council to resolve issues and set plans in place for continued improvement.” Norton Aluminium are this month meeting with Cannock Chase District Council and have agreed to participate in two annual meetings in which local residents are invited to put their questions and concerns to Norton as well as to hear Norton’s plans for further environmental improvements in the months to come.
